THE DRIVING FORCE OF NATURE
The bodies of water surrounding Spring Island have made it a desirable location for all of recorded history and likely longer. Access, abundance and life are ever present here. The Colleton and Chechessee Rivers meet here. Port Royal Sound paints a breathtaking backdrop and leads directly to the Atlantic Ocean. Serene on the surface and relaxing to the human soul, the convergence of all of this water means active movement beneath, providing some of the cleanest waters in the southeast. The perimeter of the Island is not the only place water can be found. Thirty six ponds, fresh and saltwater dot the island offering more calming ripples to Members. There is no doubt that the water of Spring Island is part of its soul.
